This 15-month project titled Children's Art Museum: Celebrating Tribal Art through Young Creators offers a unique way for children to connect with and appreciate indigenous cultures of Koya, Paroja and Gadabas tribal communities. This project aims to establish a community art museum within the school campus. The outcome of the project will be a museum, and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA along with the final report are copies of the publication, photographs and the video documentation of the entire project. For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA under Arts Projects (Research/Practice) that will explore Bangalore’s urban transformation through oral histories of retired PSU managers, highlighting their experiences of deindustrialisation, shifting identities and nostalgia in the post-liberalisation era of the city. Using a multidisciplinary approach, including social sciences research methods, illustrations and creative mapping the project will culminate in a zine. The outcome of the project will be an illustrated zine, public lectures and interactive sessions. This 15-month project titled Malv Mati Gahan Gambhir Dag-Dag Roti Pag-Pag Nir reflects the deep cultural heritage and self-sustaining nature of the Malwa region, where tradition, knowledge, and resources are deeply ingrained in everyday life. The project aims to draw from this rich cultural foundation to innovate in classroom teaching by integrating the Malvi language, traditional art, and community knowledge. The outcome of the project will be a series of performances, exhibitions and a multilingual dictionary (Malvi-Hindi-English). In this 15-month project titled The Infinite Sky Beyond Books, the school hopes to demystify difficult subjects and enhance the educational process by integrating art forms like music, multimedia, theater, dance, puppetry, painting, and sculpture into the curriculum. In addition, the school wants to make educational experiences enjoyable through promoting individual creativity. The outcome of the project will be a series of performances, exhibitions and in-house discussions. The outcome of the project will be the documentation series about the history, usage, making process and material history of the ten selected objects, a handbook about the selected objects and workshops around culinary practices along with public programming. For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA under Neighbourhood Engagements seeks to document the relationship between the predominantly working-class community of Laggere and the legacy of cinema. It aims to capture cinema not just as an art form, but also as a source of leisure, joy, resistance, and cultural identity for the people. This will be achieved through multiple forms of community engagement, including mapping the memories associated with key landmarks in the neighbourhood via audio-visual documentation and collecting oral histories. The outcome of the project will be a public exhibition featuring sound and photographic work, a printed zine, and a working paper or photo essay/story. By combining interviews with scientists, animation, and sound design, to trace how centuries of horticultural exploration introduced new species and reshaped local ecologies of Bangalore, this project bridges science and storytelling to foster public awareness of the city’s overlooked, but vital insect life. The outcome of the project will be visual storytelling workshops, a manuscript of a graphic novel and a storytelling toolkit. For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA that will facilitate research on the interconnectedness and interdisciplinary links in the materials (writings, photographs, oral history recordings) of select collections in the Archives at National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, Karnataka, to provide an accessible window into the history and practice of science and its potential to help us imagine inclusively meaningful futures. The outcomes of the project will be audiovisual presentations that will weave material from across the collection under selected themes; a digital pictorial book; screenings of archival footage; and curated film screenings exploring the themes of human and nature. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA along with the final reports will be the digital copy of the pictorial book, archival footage and images, and documentation of the audio visual presentations, film screenings and public programming.
